Stone Gradation and Purpose of Application:
- 200 – 800: Coarse sharpening for very dull blades.
- 800 – 1500: Basic sharpening, preparing the blade for further grinding.
- 1500 – 3000: Smoothing the blade, perfecting the sharpness.
- 3000 – 6000: Polishing the blade, finishing the cut.
- 6000 – 12000: Very precise polishing, achieving perfect sharpness.
